Categories Manager

1. To access the Categories Manager, place your mouse over the Administration tab at the top of your screen

2. From the drop down menu, select Categories Manager.
3. The Categories Manager opens, the Categories listed are pre-populated for you. If there are no Categories listed for any area, please contact IntelliCommunities Support to have them added.

4. Classified is selected by default, all the existing Categories for Classified are displayed.
5. To add a Category, click on the Add button.

6. The Create New Category screen opens.

7. Click on  Drop_down_arrow and  select the area you want to add the Category to Classified, Marketplace or Rss.
8. To add a new Category unrelated to any other Category, leave Parent Category: at [None].
9. To add a Category that is related to another, click on Drop_down_arrow to select the Parent Category:.

10. Type the name of the Category in the Name*: text box.
11. Click on the Save button to submit your Category to the list.
12. Click on the Cancel button to discard your changes and close the page.
13. To delete a Category, click on the Category to highlight it.

14. Click on the Delete button.

15. To edit a Category, click on the Category highlight it, then click on the Edit button.

16. Make the necessary changes. You can only edit the name of the item, you cannot edit the parent item, or category type. If you need to edit these, delete the item and start fresh.

17. Click on the Save button to save the Category and exit
18. Click on the Cancel button to discard your changes and close this screen.
