Pending Items

1. To access Pending Items, place your mouse over the Administration Tab at the top of your screen

2. From the drop down menu, select Pending Items
Community Administrators: Set a reminder on your calendar to check this area often, this is where you can approve or reject any community documents, news items, group requests, classified ads and alerts.
Group Administrators: Set a reminder to check this area often, this is where group member requests will be as well as documents and news items for your group.
Residents: This is where you'll check the status of the items you have submitted.
3. You will get a message stating There are no Pending Items if this area contains no data.

4. If there are items pending, click on Drop_down_arrow and select an area from the drop down menu. The number in parenthesis indicates how many items are pending.
5. The items for that area display.

6. Click the item to highlight it.

7. To edit an item, click the Edit button to review and make changes to a submitted item prior to approving or rejecting it.

8. To approve and item, click the Approve button. The item will not show in the portal. An e-mail is sent letting the user know item was approved.

9. To reject an item, click on Reject.

10. In the Reject Reason: dialog box, type in a reason for rejecting the item. This is a good place to ask for additional information or changes for resubmission.  An e-mail is sent to the user with the reason for rejection.

11. Click on the Save button, this will save any changes; the item will change to rejected status waiting for additional information. You will be returned to the Pending Items page where you can check other items.

12. Click on the Cancel button, this will discard any changes and close this screen. You will be returned to the Pending Items page.
